Sepracor places considerable focus on development of drug candidates for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Intending to complement LUNESTA^® brand eszopiclone and expand the company's CNS franchise, we are currently investigating compounds for the treatment of serious, prevalent CNS disorders, including anxiety, depression and pain. In addition, we expanded our commitment to delivering CNS therapies by in-licensing an anti-epileptic from Bial-Portela & C^a, S.A., a Portuguese pharmaceutical company, in late 2007.
